Marisol Escobar

Marisol Escobar is a sculptor. She was born in Paris, France and died in Manhattan, New York. She got bigger with her career in the 1960's. Both of her parents were invested in the arts which of course was bound to influence her. After the death of her mother, she got really invested. Her brother and her were moved to Los Angeles by their father after WWII. Marisol's mother was known as patron of the arts in Venezuela. After studying abroad, and moving back to New York she started to do a lot better with success. Her style of sculpting is block wood and it's really cool!
She is called a sculptor of modern life. In 1978 she was given membership to the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She's also worked with Andy Warhol on some works of art and below are her works:

Daniel Bel (Free Blog)

Daniel Bel Daniel Bel is a 3d artist who uses computer graphics for his work. He does computer sculpting and he's and art director. He was born in Buenos Aires in Argentina. He's been doing this work for about 15 years. He's well known across the internet and a lot of his work is well known as well. The piece most people know is called Beowulf 3D and it was created using 3D Max, Vray and Zbrush. I even found his Facebook page haha. So he is known online pretty well and his works are so good and detailed and they make me think of video games since his sculptures or most of them are of characters like Batman or Superman. Below are 5 of his works:

Artists

Thomas Dambo So the first artist I have is Thomas Dambo. He's a Danish artist known for one of his most popular pieces, Troll hunt. Interestingly enough, after high school he started to study to become a carpenter and then changed his mind and applied to Kolding School of designs. He has his own workshop in Copenhagen. Ernesto Neto The second artists I have here is Ernesto Neto. He is a Brazilian, contemporary visual artist. He explores social space and in 2018, he collaborated with Foundation Beyeler  to make the sculpture pictured below. It's called GaiaMotherTree. It's all crocheted.
Joseph Cornell Joseph Cornell was an American artist and also a film maker. He worked with assemblage. He mainly worked using boxes for assemblage pieces and I realized he seems to go for a vintage look and also uses birds a lot. I really like the birds and in a few of his pieces he uses maps as a background. I really like his work and it reminds me of my family's house in main because there a lot of old things in the house and it just gives a calm feeling. When it comes to principles and elements of art, I definitely see texture, color, form, variety, and space. Again, I really enjoy the colors he mainly uses which seem to be gold, a dark blue, white, and brown. There are a variety of things he uses in these sculptures like the key, birds are a repeating thing I noticed, maps, and wood or having a texture that looks like wood. Below are 5 of his works:
